Is that normal? because it is quite dissapointing.Īnother dissapointment is that in WW1, Germany declared war on Belgium only because it refused to let the German army pass through it I would have supposed that the game developpers would have known that, and have in-game Germany make the same demand the player would have been able to choose or not to let it pass, and thus avoid German invasion. Same goes with the fact of joining the Entente : I was automatically added to it as soon as Germany invaded me. I often get messages about : "x country has offered you a diplomatic deal", and I have no way of saying if I accept of refuse said deal, as it seems automatically accepted.
And what I noticed, is that diplomatic decisions are taken without my control over them whatsoever. So, as usual, I chose Belgium, and tried the WW1 scenario. So, after trying several of the Heart of Iron games (Arsenal of Democracy, HOI iII, HOI IV), I decided to try this one too, as many people seem to think it is the best.
